Returns & Refunds Policy

Returns

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
Shipping charges and shipping labels are non-refundable.
No restocking fee applies.

To be eligible for a return, items must be in the same condition as received: unused, unworn, with tags, and in original packaging. Proof of purchase is required.

Items sent back without prior return approval will not be accepted.

Damages & Issues

Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately if an item is defective, damaged, or incorrect so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

Certain items are non-returnable, including sale items and gift cards.
If you have questions about a specific product, please contact us before purchasing.

Exchanges

The fastest way to receive a replacement is to return the original item once approved and place a new order.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you whether the refund is approved or denied.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Please note that processing times vary by bank or credit card provider.

Refunds are only issued after returned merchandise is received and inspected.
Original shipping fees and shipping labels are non-refundable.

International Orders, Customs & Import Fees

Orders shipped outside of Canada may be subject to customs duties, taxes, or import fees imposed by the destination country. These charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost and are the sole responsibility of the customer.

Customs fees are determined by local authorities and are outside of our control. By placing an order, the customer agrees to pay any applicable customs or import charges upon delivery.

Refused Shipments & Unpaid Customs Fees (Important)

If a customer refuses delivery or does not pay required customs, duty, or import fees, resulting in the package being refused, held, returned, or abandoned, the return will be processed at the customer’s expense.

  • The shipment is not considered delivered

  • The merchandise remains the property of Slovenian Kitchen

  • No refund will be issued until the parcel is returned to us, Slovenian Kitchen, and received

If a refund is approved after the parcel is received, it will be minus all costs billed to our shop, including but not limited to:

  • Original shipping fees

  • Shipping labels

  • Return shipping fees

  • Customs or duty charges

  • Carrier or handling fees

If a parcel is abandoned or destroyed due to unpaid customs fees, no refund will be issued.

Address Responsibility

Customers are responsible for providing a valid physical shipping address. Our carriers do not deliver to PO Boxes. Delays, returns, or failed deliveries caused by incorrect or incomplete addresses, or any other mailing issues, are the sole responsibility of the customer.

Once items are shipped, any issues or concerns regarding shipping, delivery, or additional fees must be addressed directly with the courier service.

Additional:

  • All shipping risks, including lost, damaged, delayed, refused, or misrouted packages, are the responsibility of the customer and the carrier once the order leaves our facility.

  • Customers are solely responsible for paying any customs, duty, or import fees. Slovenian Kitchen is not liable for customs, duty, or import fees, or any consequences resulting from these unpaid fees.

  • Any failed delivery caused by incorrect, incomplete, or invalid addresses, inaccessible locations, or failure to collect a parcel, is the customer’s responsibility.

  • No refund or replacement will be issued for packages returned, abandoned, or destroyed due to shipping issues until the parcel is physically received and inspected, and all associated costs are accounted for.
