Ingredients

Dry Ingredients:

  • 1 + 2/3 cups flour (250g)

  • 1/2 cup sugar (100g)

  • 1 cup ground walnuts (100g)

Wet Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup butter, room temperature (150g)

  • 1 egg

  • 1 Tablespoon sour cream

Vanilla Sugar Mixture:

  • 1 cup sugar mixed with 1 package of vanilla sugar


Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl until well combined.

  2. Roll tablespoons of dough into half-moon shapes.

  3. Place cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  4. Bake in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 17–19 minutes. (Adjust baking time according to your oven.)

  5. Once removed, let cookies sit for 1–2 minutes, then gently roll them in the vanilla sugar mixture.


Tips for Perfect Vanilijevi Kifeljčki

  • Use room-temperature butter for the best texture.

  • Don’t over mix the dough; keep the cookies tender.

  • Roll gently in vanilla sugar while warm for a delicate coating.
